Info Out Word Bound bookstore opened in 1998 at its current location on the near northeast side of Indianapolis. We're more than just a bookstore though! Out Word Bound has grown to become a valuable community resource serving lesbian, gay, bi and transgendered people in Indianapolis and Central Indiana. At Out Word Bound you can pick up lots of information about Indy's LGBT community and happenings. You can also find business cards from people in all types of professions. Come by and see us, you'll be glad you did!

Of course you can shop at Out Word Bound. Out Word Bound sells books, movies, music, magazines, and lots of pride items. Don't miss our amazing selection of greeting cards, among the best in Indianapolis. We know you'll find exactly the card you are looking for (and probably several others!).

If we don't have what you are looking for in the store, we will gladly special order it for you.

Location

625 North East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana

We're on the near northeast side of Indianapolis, north of Massachusetts Avenue and south of St. Claire. We're easy to get to and only about a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) from the circle.

Our neighbor to the north, Henry's on East Street, is a warm and comfortable coffee bar and small restaurant, making the two of us a great destination!

Out Word Bound is in the middle of the theatre district, close to both Theatre on the Square and the Phoenix Theatre.

The two closest gay bar/restaurants are The Metro (just a block east of us) and English Ivy's (2 blocks west and 3 blocks north.) There are also plenty of great GLBT friendly restaurants nearby including: Aesop's Tables, Agio's, and Scholar's Inn.
